Setting Up an AI Voice Agent

Go to AI Automation → Voice Agents
Navigate to the AI Automation section in your dashboard and click Create Voice Agent.

Choose your vertical and goal
Select the insurance type (Final Expense, Medicare, etc.) and the goal of the call — follow-up, qualification, appointment confirmation, or re-engagement.

Customize the script (optional)
The default script is insurance-trained and works well. Optionally add your agency name, customize the intro, or add specific qualifying questions.

Set trigger conditions
Choose when the agent calls: immediately on lead entry, after X hours/days, or when a contact reaches a specific pipeline stage.

Set calling hours
AI agents respect your configured calling hours — typically 9 AM–8 PM local time for the contact's state.

Activate and assign contacts
Activate the agent and assign it to a contact group, import batch, or pipeline stage. It starts calling immediately on the next schedule window.
Live Transfer to Human Agent
When a prospect indicates strong interest, the AI agent can say "Let me connect you with [your name] right now" and warm-transfer the call to your phone. This is the most powerful use case — AI handles the first 2 minutes of every call, you only pick up hot leads.
Configure live transfer under AI Automation → Voice Agents → Transfer Settings. Set your transfer phone number and the trigger phrases.
Compliance
SalesPulse AI Voice Agents are designed with TCPA compliance in mind:
- ✓Calls are placed only within configured hours (default 8 AM–9 PM local)
- ✓Opt-out requests are honored immediately — contacts are flagged Do Not Call
- ✓AI identifies itself as an AI to prospects on request
- ✓All calls are recorded and stored for compliance review
- ✓DNC list is checked before each outbound call attempt
